Devangi

Devangi village is located in Tirthahalli taluka of Shimoga district in Karnataka, India. It is situated 10 km away from the sub-district headquarter Tirthahalli and 70 km away from the district headquarter Shimoga. Major tourist location in Devangi is Kodachadri, which is the peak in western ghats packed full of flora and fauna. Another spot is Jog Falls which is 100 km from the Shimoga town. It is the 11th highest waterfall in India. A one of a kind experience in perhaps one of the most bio-diverse regions in the world, the Sita Nadi river rafting has an unparallel experience. Bengaluru to Shimoga direct buses are available. The distance covered is approx. 350Km ( Travel time is approx. 5 Hours ). KSRTC and Private luxury buses ply between this place. Tourist can also travel from Mangalore to Shimoga on KRSTC Buses or Private luxury buses . The distance covered will be around 170 Km ( Time taken is apprx. 03 Hours )

By train

Shimoga is the nearest railway station. KSRTC buses and Private luxury buses are available from the railway station. Rented cabs are also available from the railway station. Distance from Shimoga to Devangi is approx. 75 Km ( Travel time 1 hour ).
