On the western side of Garhwal Himalayas, in the Uttarkashi district of Uttarakhand, lies the holy place of Yamunotri. About 3,293 metres above the sea level, Yamunotri stands proudly with its enormous mountain peaks, glaciers and gushing waters of Yamuna. River Yamuna, the second most sacred river of India, originates in Yamunotri, making it one of the pilgrimage sites in the Chota Char Dham Yatra in Uttarakhand.

How to reach Yamunotri

By Flight:

The closest airport is located in Dehradun which is the Jolly Grant airport, which is situated at a distance of 192 kms (2hrs) to reach our homestay.

By Road:

Kharsali is not connected properly from a network of roads however motorable roads will drop you till Janki Chatti from where the village is at a mere walking distance of 1 km to reach our homestay. taxis and bus services are available from Rishikesh, Dehradun, Tehri etc.

By train:
The nearest railway station to Kharsali is located at Haridwar and Rishikesh which is at a distance of 169 kms ( 1hr 40 minutes) to reach our homestay.You will be required to hire a cab or hail a local bus heading for Kharsali.
