Kharsali is a beautiful small village near Yamunotri temple in Uttarakhand, that hosts the idol of Goddess Yamuna during winters. The village is also known as "Khushimath" is crudled with love in the Uttarkashi in Uttarakhand. It is situated at an altitude of nearly 3,000 meters above the sea level. Darwa Top

Set at an elevation of 4150 mts, Darwa Top, also known as Darwa Pass is agorge that connects the Ganga and Yamuna river valleys. Darwa Top lies 5 kms ahead of Dodital and it is the highest point of the trek. From here one can see the best views of mesmerising mountain peaks like Swargarohini, Banderpunch, Draupadi ka Danda, Srikantha, Jaonli, and Deonli.

Surya Kund is a thermal hot water spring located at the Yamunotri Temple complex. The hot water of the spring is used to cook rice or potato tied in a muslin cloth. It is believed that eating this prasad (offering) fulfils all the desires of the devotees.

Divya Shila

Divya Shila is a sacred stone located outside the main Yamunotri shrine. Also, known as the "slab of divine light", devotees worship Divya Shila before entering the Yamunotri Temple. Generally, the pilgrims take a bath in Surya Kund and cook rice and potatoes tied in a muslin cloth. This prasad is offered first at Divya Shila and then taken to the Yamunotri Temple.
